Storing data to file or printing signal or alarm lists has been an option in X-CONNECT for long. Now storing data to file has become even more powerful and can be done on the fly to an USB stick. Any live or historical data in the system, whether it is signals, commands or alarms, can be stored to file. The way to do this is easy and straightforward. Data and time range is selected in the signal or alarm lab, the USB stick is plugged into the X-CONNECT workstation and with a button click the export is done. The data is stored with a standard format in a readable text file.

X-CONNECT Studio now has multi-user support. This means that a group of engineers can work on the same project at the same time, independent on where they are situated. The project is stored in the Cloud with access for a defined user group, with process transparency and full version control. The new multi-user support means that setting up projects in X-CONNECT Studio becomes even more efficient than before. Now work tasks can be split and distributed within the group, accelerating the work-pace even more.

A flexible digital on-screen keyboard, and a more extensive interaction and various screen resolution formats is now supported.

Synchronization between touch and the traditional mouse pointer, hovering interaction, and ability to swipe list views are some of the new features.

Database is an integrated part of the X-CONNECT system. With the database any data in the system can be stored and be retrieved at any time for various usages. The database solution used is fast, reliable and storage efficient, there is no need for unnecessary hardware capacity to provide long storage times of data.

Now the X-CONNECT database system comes with an even more efficient data storage than before. With the new system we can store the same amount of data using less than half the storage space of the previous system. This comes with no compromise on performance. The advantage is obvious, more data but with the same cost as before.

This feature increases operability by reducing human errors during transitions between system modes. Mode setup can simply be customized to suite different vessel and operation in the X-CONNECT configuration tool.
